I love the cab lights. It really makes a truck look like a truck. Without them, it would be like a hot chick without titties

To seal it just use black gasket maker. Or the black weatherstripping sealer.

I used the seals that came with the recon kit and it leaked like crazy. Using silicone now and it seems to be fixed but the damage was done. I do love how they look though.Question to those who installed cab lights and had problems:
What did you do to seal the metal/paint after drilling the holes? What did you use to seal the light housings to the paint?
Same question to those who did not have any problems. Thanks guys!
I'm trying to remember, but you know how that goes...
Do the factory lights use a replaceable foam-type gasket? I can probably find a set of factory lights & harness at my buddy's wrecking yard for cheap or free. He likes to horse-trade.
No lights and no sunroofs!:buttkick:
Finally somebody with some sense.
Everybody and their mother has cab lights I think they are hideous and I searched over a year to find a truck without cab lights
:end rant
I don't have any and am very happy with that

Exactly, cab lights just kill the sleek look of a truck
Cab lights are meh... my buddy put them on his truck and I couldn't believe it. Why would anyone drill more holes in a roof to have stuff leak in etc and they don't serve much of a purpose.
I'm more of an ass man myself :thumb:
I just used the rubber gaskets that came with them and a drop of 3M 4200 on the screw threads. Im kind of a freak about my trucks and I was nervous as hell the drill 18 holes in the roof but I never saw any signs of a leak. They looked killer in smoked...
I think you guys all need to go back and read my original post...
I didn't ask if you like them, nor do I care if you like them. It's my truck, and I do think they will look good on it. :thumb:
My question is about them sealing or leaking. All experiences positive or negative are welcome. But leave your opinion about what you think looks better in your wallet.
