Mike why don't you tell everyone your story? About how you're the reason why everything is developed, right? Isn't that what you tell everyone?

You really have a bad attitude Andrew. This is a tech thread and you bring your personal dislike for me into it. Not good.

I don't have a personal dislike for you at all. I believe that you have done a lot for this industry and i certainly applaud that.

Nor do i have anything against this product either. I just personally believe that it was developed at a time where it was almost more of a "fix" for a problem. A problem that has been corrected by advances in friction design/ materials, steels, pistons, plate design by many companies (not just us) I personally don't feel that it's a "necessity" (necessity meaning being required for consumers to have) or something guys should be worrying about for that matter. But more of a "added security" type product. (Which I flaw no one for wanting ) Not sure why it's being blown out of proportion, maybe because it has your name attached to it

I see why this guy doesnt put any info about who he works for in his sig like a good vendor would. Attitude.

I generally only install there stuff, but the theme here seems to go along with their customer service.

" Andrew why don't you tell us what you know as far as who developed the oiler and if you're wrong I will refer you to your boss, Ron. "

explain this. ^

The original idea came from Steve Younger when he was at Transgo. I discussed it with Ron at SC and we both talked about how to build a manifold to squirt oil on the C3's. Ron discovered the PTO hole that went straight through the case into C3 which solved the problem. He then built special bolts for me to squirt the oil. I put the kit together after that. That's why I brought Ron into it an suggested to talk to him.

Ouch. Last time i checked it wasn't secret who i work for? If its that bad why continue to "generally install" SunCoast's stuff? I'd say just about everyone i've dealt with has been treated more than fair. If there is someone i'd like to know. Just because i don't agree with the necessity of something doesn't mean i have an "attitude"

"Do what you feel you need to do for added security but IMO you'll be fine without"
Please don't take this as an attack. I'm only asking because I really don't know, but what qualifies you to make statements on what is or isn't necessary? I know you work at SunCoast, but they are a big company. Do you work in the R&D department developing and testing? Are you a builder? Do you do marketing? I only ask because I have no idea what you do there. I know what Mike does, and I know why we should listen to his advice. I'd like to know how much weight I should give your opinion.

I don't take your question personal at all Josh. You have a vary valid question that i will certainly address. My role at SunCoast is as follows. Not only do i dabble in sales/marketing. I work direct with my boss Ron and our builders for new ideas/improvements on products expanding beyond the Allison (46,47rh,47,48re,68rfe, e40d,4r100,5r110,6r140) Testing and R&D are daily for me. I certainly do not think i know everything nor do i appear to try. I'm learning just like everyone but I don't think Mike L himself would disput that i probably have some of the best people around me mentoring me and teaching me. I'm not here to give my credentials or gloat about anything, i was giving Chavis an honest opinion, which obviously didnt go with everyone else's lol

Never said it was a secret just that only some know. I didnt knoe where you were from so I didnt know what to think of your opinion. It seems others as well didnt full know your role.

I never said it was that bad. I generally never need to deal with Suncoast as the products are generally good. The couple times I have dealt with them, speed, deadlines and overall care for the customer were lacking when compared to many other companies. There seemed to be a lack of communication as well. There are far worse companies believe me.

Mike helps me often. I inquire about a lot of his products and his opinions on many products. Through all of this discussion over the years I have only ever ended up spending less than $100 with Mike as he steers me away from some things when not needed or steers me to other vendors for some parts. That is why his opinion is respected. Customer service. I am not saying you are doubting Mike's knowledge nor am I personally attacking you.

I don't take any of this personal at all. Mike is a very smart individual who has done a lot for this industry. If i didn't have the people around me that i do, i would certainly consult him for information or questions I had. (like i use to)

I completely understand what you are saying and where you are coming from. I believe i'm the first SunCoast employee on here in quiet sometime. i'll always do what i can for anyone on this forum or anyone that consults me for help or info on a product. Things and experiences that have happened before my time at SC i can't do anything about, but i can sure strive to make a different impression. I care about my work as it's my career so i put the time in. I try to keep guys up to date on new products and specs via pictures and detailed information as much as possible.
