i dont feel i need to prove anything to you guys, but here it goes , I have drag raced alll my life and am no stranger to a tree. i have built many fast street cars as well as helped on many not so street cars. i have been very sucessful in what i have built and decided to start hot rodding the truck. Your right i have not been in the lime light with this scene very long , but i know how to get a vehicle down a track. Current street car is a 69 chevelle capable of some low 5's in the 1/8 . For you drag race fanatics, you do the math . Its amazing what a bbc and a procharger will do !!! But you know i just got a completly stock cam in it since its forced induction!!!!:D:thumb:

p.s. i thought the idea of these forums was for people to help each other , by different opinions and things they have tried, but from the looks of it , if your are new on here and havent ran 9's or made over a 1000hp with your "Dmax" you are a dumbass and should just keep your mouth closed and just read. Sad really

Is the underneath of Casper just coated in salt after a run? By the looks of the outside the underside must gain some serious weight in a run.

Yes, there is salt everywhere. After a pass there is a couple hundred of pounds we have to knock off.

What you're not catching on to, is that none of us started at 1000HP, and most of us have run multiple configurations.

The fact that many of us share experience (that can also be pronounced as failures) that cost us thousands of dollars to learn is mind-boggling. Why give out advice that was learned at great expense to folk who might just take a trophy from you later on?

Because this is our passion and our disease. We not only enjoy figuring out how to make our trucks fly, we also enjoy sharing that info with others.

When people start posting "tech" that wasn't derived from real-world experience, or worse yet, that is nothing more than an infomercial to sell parts, it is an insult to those of us who have done the legwork.

So don't let your feathers get too ruffled. Perhaps a look at things from the perspective of your fellow Dmax hotrodders might help.

PS - Many of us have been racing for a long time. My first pass was at OCIR in 1976? back when timeslips were hand-written on paper, and it was just an ET and MPH, nothing else.
