Perhaps not as collectable yet as the GN, but another limited production V-6 Turbo that has a street-cred - The GMC Syclone -

With a 700R4 vette trans, AWD, with the GM 4.3 turbo engine, mild tweaks put these into rollbar territory. Hard to catch from a stoplight, even 100% stock.

I worked on a few Syclones and they are fun to drive. We would put a higher stall converter in and shift kit them and they would run low 13's stock.
The GN looks better. 25 years after they were discontinued, they still look great.

I have a customer on the route with one of those with under 20,000 miles on it. Nice little truck.
I wonder what supercharger they put on those, and what mods they had to do to the 4.3 to handle it?

Sorry for the derail, Mike.

Both the Syclone and Typhoon trucks featured a Mitsubishi TD06-17C 8 cm² turbocharger

I always liked those trucks
Ive run a couple Typhoons at the track, usually hang with them till the 1/8th mile & then they start pulling away

Wherever I am working
Juiced GNX! Killer street car. Had a buddy back when had this set up and at that time no production car around could hang. I can't remember what his quarters were, but it would git. Had a very nice audio system too.

Those cars are among my favorites.

That was the downfall of it as well. Because it was the fastest production car GM said nothing can be faster then the flagship Corvette. Hence why the ZR1 of today is made so there can be very high horse Caddy's and Camaro's with out being faster then the Vette. As a fan of all GM products I am glad that the Vette has a group of people to keep it looking good without going crazy or forgetting where it came from. Too bad it wasnt alittle faster in the late 80's. I love my 85 grand prix and my 72 vette :)
