Yea it was. Only light I get to stay on the blue auto. Green never comes on and red blinks. As dumb as this sounds I think the truck is smoking more than it did before

You need to find a new power source for the box. Try the a3 wire. My truck did the same thing when i had the power hooked up to the a4. It smoked more and acted wierd. Let me double check and make sure I did switch from the a4 to the a3 and not the other way around but it fix all my issues.

This is what ben told me....

mike, take the pink power wire going to the lockup controller and disconnect it from wherever you have it tapped into for ignition power....now tap that pink wire into the WHITE wire going into pin position A3 of the 24-pin light blue connector going to the BCM. Let me know if that fixes the issue.

ben

The instructions stated to hook the pink wire up to the A4 wire on the light blue bcm connector, so that's what I did. Ben suggested I move it to the A3 wire on the blue bcm connector, so I did and it seemed to have fixed all my issues. It's been almost exactly a year and I have not had A SINGLE ISSUES since.

You may turn that 10.57 into a 10.40;) Tell you the truth I benefit from the force unlock function more than anything. When I pass I can force unlock and pass in 6th gear and put out no smoke at all. Its kind of tricky passing at highway speeds with a big single without blacking out the highway unless you manually downshift.

Ran out of time today. I'll swap wires after work tomr. I had the blue light working until WOT then it went off. Green light came on once when I was checking it with vehicle off but now nothing is working. So hopefully this power wire fixes it

If you read through my thread I posted the link too, you can see all the issues I had with the power wire on the a4. Switched wires and it's been great ever since. Never had a single issue.

Any reason why you still run the 1st gen box Ruben? Cuz the new ones aren't reliable?

I've had no issues with mine, it has worked perfectly from day one but I did follow Mikes thread for the install and used the A3 pin location in the Lt Bl BCM plug for the pwr lead, mine is the newest version, IIRC, the directions were not available for the LBZ when I got it and are different than the LLY.

Tap the A3 FTW:angel:
