Let me just say, it has been quite an effort to communicate with Ben for the last 3 months really, I wanted a few unlocked boxes for friends, and myself since the ones we received were not customizable because he was getting too many questions from people that would not know how to work it properly, which I understand. So after a few months of contacting through email, phone (called at least 80+ times) and pm's. a few weeks ago he contacted my through email, and Sent me an unlocked box, but not the other 2. Last week he emailed me and they were on my doorstep the next day.

Customer service isn't the greatest, but within the last month it got a lot better, I would say it's just been a rough patch. When I installed my box I called Ben and he called back right after to ensure that the lockup box was working properly.

But let me just say that his products are a great product, I know 5 trucks that have them and have zero issues, with the exception of one trans going out due to it overheating because of a clogged cooler.

I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another product from Ben, simply because it's a small company, and he won't "close the door" on you if a product breaks, if one of the products is causing issues he resolves it, unlike major companies that say it's not under "warranty" because of installation errors or whatnot...

Everyone who wants a lockup controller, email or PM me.

I am willing to send anyone who wants to try a lockup controller one FOR FREE. If you like it, pay me. Otherwise, return it. The one requirement for this deal is that you have to be a regular member on the forum here...not someone who just signed up last week with 3 posts. Ill run this deal for a week

I was doing well, but ran into some problems in the last month or so and things started to slide and snowball out of control. I dont have any excuse, I got overwhelmed and in over my head with orders.

Another thing that is difficult is when people dont send me back their "broken" lockup controllers. 9 times out of 10 when people cant get their lockup controller to work properly, its because of a wiring issue or installation error. Im not saying ive never had a failed module, thats not true at all. But when people have returned "broken" lockup controllers, I plug them into my truck and they work just fine.

If there is anyone who I have not yet gotten back to or made right, please PM me or email me at [email protected]

ben

You sent me a pm back on 6-15-12 saying the samething after i made a comment about wanting one but didnt want to spend the money do to lack of customer support. And guess what i never saw it.

He told me the same thing only difference is I told him no, I pay for what I get. There's no denying the box works so what's wrong with paying for it 1st.All I know is it made a huge difference in my truck and when the truck is ready for the strip I'm going to prove it.

It's not about getting it free BUT if you get one that isn't paid for my bet is you'll get better customer care because he'll want to get paid. What I don't understand is why is customer support care so horrific? This reminds me of TTS complaints! Is Ben the NEW Steve Cole? :D

It's just a hobby he makes his real living off of knitting socks! :D

Enough of the gimicks the excuses ,return calls emails and PM's . Someone should take him up on his offer and then fall off the earth for a few months and play reverse cat and mouse see how he likes it!

Does anyone object to me closing this thread? Theres literally only about 3 posts in this whole thread that have to do with customers that directly received bad service from me.

The rest is just dumb commentary from the peanut gallery who has never done any business with me whatsoever.

Kinda seems like a conflict of interest for a vendor to have the power to close the threads or delete posts not beneficial to his business. Almost like censorship.
I think it should stay to serve you a reminder to take care of people who believe in you.

Close it. Just a bunch of BS in here.

DBUSHLB7 seems to think I would look like a coward and look like im trying to cover something up/censor bad things about my business. He thinks I need to leave it open to remind me to take care of customers.

So it will stay open. Carry on everyone. And dont you guys worry, if a couple days go by without someone from the peanut gallery (who has never even bought anything from me in the first place) posting something totally irrelevant, Ill make sure to post something stupid myself to bump this thread up to the top and make sure it keeps reminding me to take care of my customers. :thumb:

While your customer service has certainly had its flaws, or lack of any communication at all, i still dont believe we need to keep this thread going.

Close the thread. There's 100 posts of bullshit that people can see if they'd like to get a feel for you and your products.

That being said, i still have no doubts or bad feelings toward Ben. I realize that he is basically a one man show. He has things he needs to work on and take care of, but i won't hesitate to order another product for him, ill just plan ahead and order sooner then i need too.. :)

Which is it? Delete posts you don't like or close the thread? Sorry this is bad pub for ya but who's fault is that? Don't like the pub Fleece has gotten in this thread? Don't like the fact that people have learned there are other options for lockup? This is the internet and somewhat public it seems. Word of mouth goes both ways as you clearly now see. I don't think you deserve some punishment or whatever you're implying... Simply think you don't deserve to be above reproach or possess the ability to erase material that doesn't suit you well. Do whatever you want with the thread I won't loose any sleep tonight I promise. Can you tell me the purpose of itrader being installed on this board? Was it not to protect members and establish reputations on which people will make purchasing decisions on? In case you haven't noticed a lot of folks have been dealt with in a less than honorable way here on DuramaxDiesels. Something to think about.

Have I bought anything from you? No (thank goodness and BTW my copilot is working flawlessly). You are on a forum. You are not exempt from people's opinions or observations. Isn't that what forums are for? To share data, info, evaluations on products or the services rendered? Just my thoughts, sorry I'm in the "peanut gallery" and not your fan club. Doubt you would complain about the latter chipping in on this thread.

You arent understanding what I was suggesting when I said "can I clean up this thread".

Im not talking about "covering up people who have personally had bad experiences with me".
Im talking about deleting and weeding out the retarded BS posts like these:

http://www.duramaxdiesels.com/forum/showpost.php?p=731114&postcount=108

Do you honestly have a problem with me doing that? This whole thread could be condensed into about 2 pages. Anyone who has never done business with me really has no dog in this fight and shouldnt be posting in this thread to begin with, technically..

Maybe Ill have an objective moderator who isnt me clean it up, then people cant whine that Im trying to pull the wool over everyones eyes, because thats the last thing I want people to think im trying to do.

If I really wanted to cover stuff up, I would have already deleted things and not even mentioned it...and you would have been none the wiser.
