This thing works great, finally got to test it out on the weekend. Feels good to feel that tc locked up in 2nd gear when hauling down the track. I love the auto mode, never have to touch the controller, just have it on auto at all times:woott:

Would this do ok with a second gear start on a pull truck? With the auto mode on and coming off the line already in second would it recognize 90% too quick before the rpms were up? I'm sure somebody has some results they can share. I'm just curious cause we are installing a box before our next Pull. It may not be of any concern I'm just kinda thinking out loud here

Guess you'll have to just try. You can always just use the manual mode if the auto doesn't work out for you

For second-gear-start TCM tunes, you can program a 1-7 second delay (adjustable) from when you go WOT to when it forces automatic converter lockup.

Of course you can just control it manually too...from the feedback Ive received, most of the time when guys are sled pulling, they control lockup manually (due to differences in sleds, tracks etc), and when they are drag racing, they use the automatic mode.

Ben, or anyone know what the Orange w/ black strip wire is for on the lock up box?
I got everything hooked up the way it says, but I didn't see anything in the directions that says where the orange w/ black strip wire goes.
Thanks
Brett

Hey Brett, sorry I missed this, I havent been on much because Ive been so busy.

The orange/black wire is for the auxiliary wide-open-throttle output, its to trigger nitrous, water meth, etc... Basically the orange/black wire gets grounded when you go WOT. You dont have to use it; if you dont have any use for it, you can just tape up the wire and tuck it away.

Hey Ben, I need you to call me, Indy is in about a week and this box does not work. All I need is for you to call me so we can go over this wiring diagram so I can figure out what I need to do too get this thing to work. I hooked everything up the way it says and checked it about ten times but the trans will not go into reverse. It goes into drive for about 20sec then trans goes into limp mode. I checked codes and I'm getting a P0743. I put everything back to stock and the trans works fine. Now I have a $550 paper weight that I can't get any customer service help with. Please call me so we can talk this over. 630-293-2900
Thanks
Brett

the box that Steven got is supposed to be the latest one and does not match the instructions for the inside the cab stuff. Everything is wired in the engine bay but the wires that it talks about for inside the cab in the Feb/2012 instructions are not the same colors at all. sooooo just wanted to get some updated instructions in order to make sure it gets done right the first time. thanks for your help.

The main difference is the instructions say white wire out of Bens box to white wire on the brake. It is now the purple wire coming out of Bend box to the purple wire on the brake. Light blue to light blue on the gas pedal. Pink to a keyed hot wire. And black wire to ground. Orange wire I didn't use.
Before you plug the box in check for power. Turn key on check for power at the plug that goes into Bens box. Touch the pink and black wire with multi meter u should have 12 volts. Then check from black wire to the purple wire you should have 12 volts then push the break and voltage should drop to around zero. Turn key off and then check for continuity on all your wires. I hate the t taps! They are working
I know Ben can be hard to get ahold of but he returned my calls and he walked me through wiring my truck. So I can't knock him
