Brrrrrrrrrrrr

Enjoy your "summer" Cindy!!
"Summer" really doesn't kick in for us for another couple of weeks although the weather looks like it's on the improve after lots of rain this last 2 weeks (we are in severe drought so it's very welcome, we are limited to 155 litres of water per person per day and can't water lawns, wash cars and can only water gardens between 6 and 8 am 2 days per week - bring on the desalination plant in 2011!).

Summer defined by our heat is usually early January through to late March. A typical summer is 90's through to about 110 for 3 or 4 days followed by a couple of days in the 80's with some storms, then repeat. It's usually beach weather from November right through to Easter. If we are lucky maybe even early May.

We LOVE our long hot summers :) The beach my parents live at is perfect for our kids (7 and 4) who are out swimming/paddling as I type this

We've been invited to a Northern Christmas and winter which we will definately do either in 2009 or 2010 depending on how the new baby adjusts to our lives/how we adjust to the baby.

Cheers
Cindy

Stupid, stupid, drivers.....:rofl:

Oh, you got THAT right. The number of times I started swearing to myself Friday, thinking, "Stay the hell HOME!" when some idiot in a CAR would pass me. They all think I have 4wd in my UPS truck. :eek:

its not to plesant here today, all the ice and snow melted the past fewdays but its bitter out again and a high of 12*F sunday!

Still, i lived in Wyoming for 9mo and the -20*F (not wind chill) we got a few times, Thats F-in cold! I had a gasser 93 Ford Ranger at the time, manual tranny and it took good ole runny ATF right, well it was so cold i went to start it and the ATF was so thick i let the clutch out in neutral and it stalled the motor! I had to rev it up and dump the clutch to keep it going! On the way home... that was fun, shocks froze solid the whole way, coolant temp never rose from dead cold, and trying to shift was like trying to row a 20ft oar in a vat of molasses:eek:
I'll take my weather with a grain of salt but least im not dealing with that crap anymore!
:D

Crap 40% chance of rain for Christmas Eve. So much for tradition of letting the kids swim pool while Pat cooks dinner:(

Oh stop it! :rofl::rofl:

We're expecting another 2-6" of snow before Christmas, and temps below 25* until after Christmas.
