Enjoy your "summer" Cindy!!
"Summer" really doesn't kick in for us for another couple of weeks although the weather looks like it's on the improve after lots of rain this last 2 weeks (we are in severe drought so it's very welcome, we are limited to 155 litres of water per person per day and can't water lawns, wash cars and can only water gardens between 6 and 8 am 2 days per week - bring on the desalination plant in 2011!).
Summer defined by our heat is usually early January through to late March. A typical summer is 90's through to about 110 for 3 or 4 days followed by a couple of days in the 80's with some storms, then repeat. It's usually beach weather from November right through to Easter. If we are lucky maybe even early May.
We LOVE our long hot summers
The beach my parents live at is perfect for our kids (7 and 4) who are out swimming/paddling as I type this
We've been invited to a Northern Christmas and winter which we will definately do either in 2009 or 2010 depending on how the new baby adjusts to our lives/how we adjust to the baby.
Cheers
Cindy
