Our Rifle season ended 3 weeks ago. Muzzleloader is going on all month. The coyote hunters have got the deer more spooked than anything now. Since the snow started falling 2 weeks ago the coyote hunters have been out pretty hard.

Ah yes coyote season. Can't wait to get home. I always see a couple running around at 6:00AM when I'm on my way to the ice fishing shack.

Should be a high of 23 today. Eh, no big deal...just another pair of longjohns. Not a whole lot we can do about the weather, so why worry about it, right? I usually keep the worktruck running most of the day when it gets cold, to keep the heat up. IMO, one of the best times of the year is a really cold, crisp, quiet winter morning, but I still like fall better.

You bastards! You enjoy Hawaii while I'm out chipping holes in the ice with an axe in the cattle tanks so they can get water a couple times a day. Yeah the nice hard ice chunks with just enough water on them to make them stick, plastering your face with each strike. Hope you like that steak you're eatin on the sea shore!
