Broke Crank at #4 journal

Just passed the 10,000 mile mark on my engine last night. Shredded a tear :( unfortunately that's the most ill get to be able to drive it untill who knows when.

Same with my motor, everything looked great. pistons looked awesome, cylinder walls looked in perfect condition, we will find out what my bearings and crank look like when I pick it up.

That sucks. Sure wish someone could/would get to the root problem & fix it. I'd be absolutely a wreck if I had a built engine let go after spending all that cash on it. Wow!

In my experience the LB7 cranks seem to be the lesser of the evils on breakage. The big question is seasoned crank vs new crank? Dealing with many core engines and not knowing the history, we have gone the route of new LB7 cranks in our builds with good success. I personally have not broken an engine with a new LB7 crank with an alt. firing order cam in our race engines since this combo has been available. Before that, I cried a lot!
