I haven't heard of an LBZ crank breaking with an ALT firing cam either. PPE hasn't done an LB7 conversion so I wanted them to be comfortable with the work, so I went with LBZ. I should be fine since I have an ALT firing cam. And I figured if my crank was fine I would've used it anyways

We've had 8 broken cranks in the shop this year. Previous years we had zero. Needless to say it's been rough. The last 2 were broken at #4. The other 6 at #1. 6 LBZ/LMM cranks and 2 LB7. All stock firing order.

Only thing I don't like about getting a new LB7 crank is they come coated with some crap that's hard to get off. The LBZ/LMM come real pretty on a cute little pallet.
