How much are the valves? I see the bare casting and CNC ported castings say the come with guides and seals. I can't find anything on the valves though. Anything in the rocker assembly need changing since the valve centerline is moved alittle bit?

I have quotes on ss intakes inconel ex valves with double 120lb springs and tit retainers. 1600.

The rocker assembly from what I was told is the stock config.
The valves are moved towards the center to unshroud the valves next to the cylinder wall. And best of all for the LB7 guys. NO INJECTOR CUP issues:thumb:

28 inches is the level of vacuum produced. AKA negative pressure. I believe it was originally established by Smokey Yunick in the late 50s to where the porting changes actually showed a change in flow on the bench at that point of depression.

If you want, try this, take your head stock, ported stock, the Brodix unported, Brodix ported. Remove the valve, flow it. Record your number, install the valve an flow it again. Record your number(s) do some math and find HOW EFFICIENT your setup really is percentage wise.

Most diesel heads are 48" vacuum flows... Including SoCals on the bench I seen... Because my SoCal stage 2's were nowhere near the 260ish claimed...

How much lift can we use? When is coil bind?

On the set of springs I am going to run. They are set @1.6500 and coil bind is .965. They are 260 lb at 1.150 so it looks as if a .600 valve lift would be a safe number.
But on these engines we need to make sure the piston can take the valve pocket relief without getting to close to the top ring land.
That's just my thoughts. There are much more educated guys on here that have been building these motors , love to here their experiences on this subject

Heads

The little bit I know of them they have had some problems with them cracking and the valve seats coming out of them. I'm really surprised because is a very good company! I still haven't seen any earth shattering power out of these vs a stock ported head. I just put a totally stock set of heads on my dragster motor (other than springs and retainers) and will see how they do vs my old SoCal heads.

It would be interesting to see the difference on a dyno sheet, more power curve wise than peak HP. I'd be willing to bet you won't lose any peak HP.... But IMO your curve will shift up in rpm ever so slightly, or get narrower. 3 years ago when we cracked my SoCal stage 2's, I did a quick port/gasket match job and bolted on a set of LBZ stock heads, with valve springs of course. We had a 3"x3.5" Precision turbo on and had it before they cracked, we gained roughly 5 psi of boost and had to leave the line 200-300 rpm harder to stay on top of the turbo. Absolutely no other changes, never even changed the tune.

Yes wade, where are they cracking? They have thicker decks, better cooling passages so what is making them crack? Interesting.
Something to do with the manufacturing process

For the record, I was being genuinely curious. I hadn't heard about the cracking issue until Wade's alter ego brought it up. To be honest, I did get a couple e-mails and phone calls yesterday explaining the issue so it's not him just spracking off like I expected.

Boy you really got it out for him, dont you? Anyway the issue has been talked about in various places including "Wades" shop, to the best of my knowledge the failure is between the exhaust port and glow plug hole.

There are several high hp trucks down here in Utah that run them. I was actually surprised by the amount of trucks running them.

No I don't have it out for you "Wade". The few transactions we've had have been somewhat pleasant but your internet ego and persona extend beyond a username. Just figured I'd call a spade a spade.

I'm not much of a debater, so i'll get right to the point:

You elude to the assumption I'm "Wade" because I use and support products of his. Or, Your calling me "Wade" because I seem like a mouth piece for him. OK guess I should stop sending in my taxes to the Government because i'll be called Obama next... Great thought, but flawed logic.

Actually, no. I didn't elude to anything, I flat out called you Wade. Which I did because you talk like him, grammar, spelling, etc. Also the fact that you're/he's known for having multiple online personalities to support yourself/himself. These are the reasons I refer to you as Wade. If you're not, sorry but I'm just going by the old adage. "If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck, it's Wade, under another username.

If you're not Wade, you're attached to his ball sack like a barnacle.
