Getting closer to having the new motor on the dyno!! I got everything painted and made some new brackets to mount the alternator on the left side. I decided to get rid of the ac compressor. I need to lose about 100lbs and the ac is not really needed. I talked with the guys at Vibrant Performance and they helped out with the new plumbing for the fuel and coolant systems. They also helped me out with the VanJen's for the new turbo kit HSP will be doing for the truck!

I'm trying to load pictures but its not letting me. Says a security token is missing. I will try later to add them.

Wagler Competition built me some custom fuel rails that hold more fuel. With the new Exergy fuel system they wanted me to run a third rail becuase they have had problems with the 12mm pumps draining rail to quick. I didn't want to run a third rail so Jeremy came up with this. They are longer in length and every injector uses the same line.

Exergy got me a couple 12mm pumps and some 500% over injectors for the new build!! Mark put the 500's in the old motor and it picked up about 100HP and dropped cylinder pressure!

Vibrant Performance helped out with the new fuel and coolant plumbing. They also supplied all the VanJen's for the new turbo kit HSP will be doing on the truck. Mark is going to dyno the new engine with all the same stuff from the old engine. Once he gets done with that I'm going to install a Wagler street intake and a custom pedestal from Wagler and HSP will do a new turbo kit.

Here's where I'm at so far with the new engine. Hoping to find some time to run the new high and low pressure fuel lines so I can get the engine to Mark so he can break it in and see how it compares to my last engine.

Man that thing looks killer as always. Can't wait to see how it performs. You guys do awesome work. Nothing against other vendors and builders but I believe you have the best in the Buisness at your back on this set up.

Your going to love the eagle intake. There is no restriction. Mark made 1100 hp at just under 60lbs of boost with mine (it smoked the tires off on his dyno ). I want to try the 500 over injectors, just not in my budget at this time. The pics you have a killer, great job with it.

Who did all the engine paint? Looks really
Good!

The sheet metal is powder coated. Everything else I painted myself with ppg single stage.
Thanks!

I definitely have the best in the business behind me!! Huge thanks to my sponsors.
Danville Performance, Wagler Competition, HSP Diesel, Exergy, Bullseye Power, Vibrant Performance, AirDog, Neal Chance, Rossler Transmission.

Better as in 7 second truck rather than 8? Man the thing ran unreal before!

I don't think we will hit 7's but the prostreet class has some new trucks out that are going to be insanely fast. Only thing that sucks they are strictly race truck. I'm trying to keep up with a truck I still street drive.

Glade everything worked out for you. Hope to see it in person some time.

Thanks guys!!

Brett, with all the work going into this truck, do you think you'll be able to hit sub 8.50 ETs this year? Have you checked with the NHRA about chassis certifications for running those times with a truck that weighs 4500+ lbs? Last I heard, they had a weight limit below that to be able to get your certification for those times. I'm curious if anyone has worked on a solution or if it's one of those "cross that bridge when we get to it" type of things. The motor is looking great, and I can't wait to see how it performs.

Yes Josh, with BullyDog and myself going 8.5x last year the nhra noticed us. The SFI is working on a new cage requirement for us heavy guys. It's SFI 25.6. The proposal draft if passed would let a 5000 lb truck go 7.50 or slower.

So far the proposal has been denied because of the weight. I think they are going to change the weight to 4600Lb and see if it will pass at that weight.

With the outlaw raced only being 1/8 mile we can get away with a little more. I have been as fast as 5.5 in the 1/8 mile when I ran my 8.55. Ryan Milliken last weekend went 5.4 in the 1/8 with his new truck. So there are defiantly going to be some guys that will go faster then 8.5 in the 1/4 this year.

Interesting info. I know there are a few guys poised to break that barrier this year. It will be interesting to see who does it and how far beyond it they go as well as how the NHRA and other sanctioning bodies deal with the safety rules.
