Wagler uses a lot of Ross pistons. They held up better in Cummins Killer than anything else when they were having issues from other items. It's also what's in Farmer Dave's engine.

Brett's bottom end should be very stout with the hemi rod end Winberg crank and Wagler rods.

The only problem I see is the further you push the envelope the more risk of failure. After you see a Winberg crank and the bigger bearings it's pretty hard not to go that route. My Wagler motor was flawless this year, wish I could say the same for turbo's. With 2 great guys like Mark and Brett working together that truck is going to be a monster.

Awesome numbers Brett, mark, and Wagler!

No offense, but Wagler uses a lot of Wiseco pistons for their builds, all of which have NGM DIESEL bowl designs, even some new Diamond pistons.

Wiseco had probably the worst track record of anything in pulling engines this year.

Awesome job guys, can't wait to see the new setup doing work! Pretty much identical setup as the Nova, but I'm running 225% Inj, two 12mm pumps and 1.32's on the atmo's. Curious as to how much more lag the big housings are than the 1.0's. Any idea, have you compared the two?
I beleive you would benefit from turbines like Brett is running.

That's not too surprising. I recently pulled a set of siezecos out of a dmax with the upper ring land beat out of them. I have never had much luck with any of their snowmobile or mx offerings for what it's worth.

What I want to know is: Will there be ovals?

;)

Sorry Jon, the new motor has Ross forged regular bowl design.

Its always a big step to take going from a solid known setup to another setup that you have high hopes for. Depending on the goals I guess a guy will have to look himself in the mirror and decide if its really worth going to another setup that may go faster and may blow faster.

Well said!!

Awesome numbers Brett, mark, and Wagler!

Thanks Jason!

I'm going to wait till after we get done testing to tell everyone what this new motor has in it. A lot of you might know just from what Dave Burton has told already. Jeremy wanted to try some new stuff out and I was game to jump on board!!

Jermey is a stand up guy and I'd trust his judgement on duramax engines... He uses a variety of well known parts and stands behind what he builds. I'm sure whatever your combination is it will work good.

You ran 1.32 atmosphere's vs what you have back to back on the same motor and what were your testing methods?
Obviously you already know that answer Evan. The other turbines I beleive are better and can help him. That's just my opinion. They have 1.30 available as well that flow more than 1.32 standard turbines.

I may have missed it but what drive pressures and EGT's is it making? With the stated boost and all that flow it must be pretty low as would the EGT considering. Great start!!

That's likely why wade stopped doing R&D for wiseco. But they nabbed his bowl design. Some issues with new management and quality control too.Wade has been developing pistons with diamond now for little over a year. So far things are looking good with diamond.

Okay what's wrong with the wiseco? I've got them. I ordered from wade he was a very nice fella. Mine was more of a custom spec'd order than the Normal. But y'all saying they are junk????

What is the plan for this engine (the old one on the dyno) now that a new one is being built?
