I cannot find a 2010 or older that doesn't need multiple calipers anymore. It's amazing the difference in brake 'feel' from truck to truck in that generation. And for different reasons per truck.

If I find one caliper not sliding freely or have one that sticks, all 4 get replaced. It's only a matter of time before another one craps out. Seems to be a real weak spot on the older trucks.

I just replace all the bolts and boots and never have a sticking problem after. Twice I reused the old boots and within a year the greese was hard and the bolts were sticky.

Chris these junk wearevers do stop like right now, lol, not sure how long they last though.

One caliper bolt was sticking I cleaned it and out some good silicone grease on it. Brakes work 20x better, I only drove it 5 miles though, heading to the rig shortly, see how it does driving with those assholes in Washington and wheeling.

TX of course
I can be pleased, I'm not that picky, but these brakes compared to the new trucks is night and day, I'll finish my brakes and see how it goes.

My post wasn't meant to be a shot at you. I could have worded it better. I was more trying to pointing out there are always improvements with newer stuff.

If you do calipers I had a hard time finding a better deal than the the reman powerstops. $350 for all 4, powercoated with stainless hardware and no lame torx bolts. The washers are copper though FYI so change those out

Your area probably has a lot to do with it too, do they use salt there?

I've been in the most extreme cold and hot and never had a stuck caliper on a GM I've owned.

Back east, sticking calipers are a big issue. i remember reading about it years back. when you're not in the rust belt, you have far less issues  :D
