So my duramax needs some new rotors, does anybody know if a a 1994 chevy 3500 has the same rotors that i could swap over instead of buying new ones?

Almost definitely not.

What are you trying to do, put used 1994 brake rotors on your duramax?

It says they're the same, and why should i pay for new rotors when i already have a perfectly good set on another truck? I have a warped rotor that is really starting to bug me so looks like ill be swaping it out

How warped is it. Brake rotors can be machined flat again. I have to do mine at least every other year.

Pretty bad it makes for a pretty bumpy stop, but what I'm going to end up doing before i spend any money or ruin my truck, im going to get them both off and measure and compare them and see if they match up.

My quick research says they changed in 2000...
Spend the $40 on a new rotor from NAPA...

Its bad enough youre not going to put new pads on...

I think the more important question is do you drive the 94 without brakes or deal with a bumpy stop?

I understand when money is an issue. But when you're driving on the same roads as my friends, family, and me, I'd prefer that shortcuts aren't made when it comes to safety. I work in a shop and have seen what damage shortcuts can do. Don't risk your life or the life of others.
