^ melted Socal piston.
^ messed up valves, both on #2.
It also had stock injectors. My buddy hasn't gotten the bottom end apart so I'm not sure if it has rods but I would think so as it still had the Socal dampener and pushrods and Socal pistons.
Good luck on the tear down. There is a thread that has rods and alot if performance parts on here to a ebay link. That might be md-dmax. Hope there not the parts that a suppose to be in this motor.
i hate to say it but there is a point in time where you draw the line and take action against a seller. at this point, id be there.
Fortunatly for MD-dmax my friend doesn't feel like he got ripped off too bad because he got a nice truck for a decent price, he also had a official looking paper printed up my buddy had to sign saying he was buying it as is, (probably something his gfs dad hooked him up with) so I'm not sure the law could do much anyway if my buddy wanted to go that route. He has pretty much chalked it up to lessons learned and moved on....
Oh lordy, lordy. I hope it's not another "Jeremy Flax" situation. Any one remember that gem? He sold busted stuff (not mentioned in the add), and just generaly just skipped out on paying for parts. I remember when some guys raided his shop and called me to ask if he still had anything of mine in there that I needed back. :woott: I have a list of folks that still owe me or generaly just flat out stole from me. It's a mentality I suppose and how some go through life. To bad.
That would have been the sign to not just walk away but move to a different continent on that deal.
Still sucks either way though

oh man I remember that...how many years ago was that now???
Hes 21 years old, has 2 kids, is not married, and does not have a "financially stable job".
^ these were his own words, not mine. Ill see if I can find the thread where he posted that. Oh it all makes so much sense now.
