I know nothing about back spacing and offset on wheels, but could too much offset or back spacing put more preasure on tie rods?

What an F-n moron. He doesnt know what the hell he's doing, and puts the other drivers at risk with his stupidity. He should not be allowed on the track.

Steve, it's not going to be easy getting that thing to hook being up so high. But there's a few things you can do to help. Is there any way you can get it lower or are you pretty set on the stance?

Next time you run pull the sway bar. Also do whatever you can to lighten it up specially from front end weight. You'd be suprised how much weight hurts you coming out of the hole like that.

If you could get a different tire setup I think some pyo's with some tires with more of an aspect ratio will really help you.. And you could probably do with more pressure then 35/25. see where the sticky is after you make a pass..if its more on the outside of the tread then the center you need more air.

Adding some negative camber will help also (not just on the strip).

Yes, the further the rims stick out than stock PYO's the more leverage can be applied to the tie rods. + offset is easier on front ends than a -.

The limit straps are next, then qa1s I guess. The front is as low as it can go (bolts out). Thanks for the suggestions guys keep em coming!

PSI means nothing to me. Ive always used rpm at launch. Your front end comes up far too fast, popping up like that unloads the front quickly, and you get wheelspin and the "jerking" you talk about....esp if you launch above 2200rpm.

BTW, you WANT the rear to squat some, hence the stiff front shocks, soft rear setup.

Best I can seem to get is a 1.8 60'. This is on the nitto 420 street tires, 305/50/20... Leaving around 13psi on the S472. Any higher i get the steering wheel ripped out of my hands.

Hold on tighter :D

I'm with Tom on this, adjustable shocks & smaller/lighter wheels will help a lot.

I would try limit straps and lower tire PSI-what worked for me with a 8 inch lift and 37X14.5 nitto terras to cut a 1.77 60

Also little preload on driver t bar. I think it was the one spinning.

Looking at the rear of the truck when launching; the relationship of the axle to the frame/body goes like this. Axle rotates ccw and body rotates cw. The right tire pulls the frame down and the left side pushes the frame up which in turn looses grip on right tire and plants the left tire. The idea is to make the right side act like the left side via traction bar, anti roll bar or air bag assist on right side to help plant both tires. With that being said I dont know how the font end of a 4wd would affect or change this motion. I'm sure someone on hear could explain this better also. I think its anti squat that most drag racers go for, again I'm referencing 2wd cars and trucks.
