Ive been reading till my eyes are crossed and I still cant decide what way to go.
34' bumper pull behind 07 suburban and possibly pull a second trailer behind the 34 or Baja. Engine mods done rods pistons pumps and stuffs. So far im torn between the 483 and 488 with stock charger in valley for a minute. later a danville in the valley or sxe369 gated. talking to some Ive run the idea of gating around exhaust and the cold side of the lil turbo. Whats some thoughts for MAX power and still tow for the Atmo and its exhaust side and style. Wehrli tossed out SXE369 and S488. Annnnnd Go

id personally do something like the danville stg2R in the valley with an 83 OR start with the SXE369 then twin over that later so you arent having to re-do the piping..

CNTRY. I dont have that part yet so thems be open. So the 83 is the way to go? Isnt the 83 a billet wheel? I know the 88 is. If I do the 83 I could most likey do the 369 now too. the 83 is a t4 housing 120.25 flows 130 lbs a min.
Thnk you for the guidence. keep it flowing :thumb:

Edit: Im looking at a 369sxe with a dodge housing already gated. Id just need to fab or buy a pedistal

I think if you plan on spending any amount of time with the trailers behind the truck a 69/88 setup will be too big. Yes it will be fast but have fun trying to control EGTs.

With my new build I'll be running a 68mm 3794 and a billet 480 and spraying it until I meet my horsepower goals. Best of both worlds as far as I'm concerned.

Soo stock over 83 sounds to be the trick. Ill use the egr port for the gate valve.
Also have stg 2 afe socal cam if that helps or hurts

"stock" won't be very fun. That 83 will be way to much charger to run with a stock turbo. I also wouldn;t use a stock set of uppipes with an egr port for a high horsepower setup.

I had a 66/83 is a very fun setup. Pulled forever, loved that setup. Someone here is selling a 483. If you are swapping out the valley turbo, I'd look into something other then the 300 series. Just my opinion.

I'd go with either a 3794 or 4094 stg2r from Danville in the valley. You're going to want to stay vgt in the valley for spool to help keep the egts down. My buddies 4094stg2r runs warmer than my 3794 towing fyi

Doesnt Danville mod the stock vvt? and if need gate around the lil ****er when the big one lights. Looking at the 480 sxe it flows upwards 130 the 483 sx only flows 120. the 83 is 3mm bigger and i would guess it spools slower because of inertia? do i get a custom built 85 billet 480sx w race cover? http://www.stainlessdiesel.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=83&product_id=329

Thanks for the info folks im greatful to have it :thumb:

It is an excellent charger:D. Although I'm not sure I'd want to tow with it. I'm no turbo expert but just seems to big, if towing performance is any concern.
