Like everyone's 2 million hp. I just want as much air as I can get to make the most clean hp on the track possible and still go camping.. I really want to make an 11 second suburban on 36's without putting the bitch on a diet. other concerns are what im going to do with suspension. long travel a arms up front w 930 inners or the dana 60 kingping. Im going really stupid with it and making it a prerunner/ tow / racer

A 364.5 and batmowheel 480 tows well and has plenty of power to spare. Just ask JoshH, it's on his shop truck. That thing spools insanely fast!

I ran a 369/488 setup for a bit on my LBZ. It's definitely not something I would tow with often but it would get the job done if you have a built motor. Way overkill for a stock bottom end. A 366/480 or similar is not bad. Russ ran that for years towing and running 11's in his ccsb with a stock bottom end and 40% injectors. It's flat out hard to beat a stock/475 or 480 setup for towing and daily driving though. Hands down my favorite for street manners and all around functionality for a stock bottom end. A very close second would be Josh's 364.5/480 setup.

I have been trying to tell him this lol. I'd go 68R/480 or 483 at the largest

And Ive been agreeing with you. ths is why I was leaning towards the 480sxe. its smaller than the sx483 and outflows it. since its smaller it should spool faster?

So then F it ill order the new 480sxe from my guy. Its only 1900 complete w housing =) What housing? 1.32?
Now then lets think on marks vvt in the valley. some tell me the 300 frame has a shitty shaft and tends to brake. id think since its being pushed by the 480 it would not get so much stress?
Would be nice to keep my brake :thumb:

Just buy Corbin's. It's the exact setup you want. Assuming you have an lb7 like your dig says. Save some money and help the guy out.

If it was an LB7 we might talk but since its a 2007 new body lbz block w LMM electronics it wont work. I was really looking for who has done what and the results came out for the best combo. Wehrli suggested a 369 sxe and 488sxe. So IDK just wanted some input.
Thnks for it too now back on topic. What exhaust housing :baby:

Vgt and 1.32 housing

A 66/480 combo is hard to beat for good performance and the ability to tow well.

Do the 366sxe and 480sxe. Ive been "fun" shopping and have decided on that setup myself, and would love to know how it does!

Im going to do some out of the ordinary and use this wee lil LBZ turbo and put a 68mm wheel on it and then a gate on the exhaust side w a 480SXE atmo.
Ordered the 480 from My guy and he tells me umm well there on backorder let me find one  under 2k w housing for that and Im gonna wait unless anyone can sell me a new one for the same or betta :thumb:

I have a 68r1/480. 125 overs. Made 1108/2000+ on Danvilles dyno. 7300 lb race weight. Tune 4 went [email protected]. Crappy 60' at 1.85. Also tows very well! Just make sure your converter matches your setup
Yea Umm thats the next question with a stage 2 so cal af cam and this modded stock housing tiny LBZ turbo and the 480 SXE I need to get some opinions on stall speeds
