That will work

Just going out and having fun is the main thing. A van would be cool. We have a local guy here that races a duramax van and kicks butt in the bracket class. I think he has won every NADM race they have had at National Trails. Good luck on the Shaggin Wagon! Jeff

I built a Luv when I was 16/17 with a 455 Buick and TH400. They come with a boxed frame and are super strong. I have a 78 Luv sitting in my back yard and my 455 ready to assemble when funds permit. Good luck with the van, hope you guys do well.:thumb:

Sounds like an awesome project! id love to see a van go 11's

Have you found a builder for the trans yet? I saw a mention of flaco (from Houston), unless they are talking about a different flaco he uses FLT or finish line transmission up in chicago i believe. Ive seen alot of people have alot of problems with them. Ive used Century Auto and Trans in Richmond down here in Houston, he built my Alli and my 4L80e in the race truck. Haven't had any problems out of the allison yet but im just getting the race truck up and running so it will be a month before i can really tell you how good this 80e is but i know he built the 4l60e that was in the fastest f-body for the longest time. not sure if it still holds the record or not and Mike Kurtz the guy that owns it is a great guy and supper smart. He had my allison back to me in less that 48hrs and i think my 80e took 3 days and there's all kinds of custom parts in it. Anyway just someone to think about. You also might want to talk to Mike Woods i know hes in Wichita falls and might have used someone local.

Now that sounds like a fun little truck....just about uncontrollable.
I put a 455 Olds/TH350 in a Mustang. I hated Ford motors.

We were talking about the van last night, and I told dad we need to find out if it has a locker. He asked me how we could do tell. I told him we could either look in the glove box at the RPO codes or do a burnout. We decided to do it the fun way. Let me tell you, a van can do one hellacious burnout! I wish it had been daylight and someone was able to get a video or pictures. I'll try to get a picture of the marks tomorrow. Oh, it does have a locker.
