yeah i totally agree with this. ihi's suck. i would probably get a htt also. too many people are starting to have hg problems out of 4094's. if you want the best of everything get a set of twins like trents, they obviously are the cats meow.
I wouldnt dismiss the ihi that easy! i made a trip down to south carolina last weekend, and before i left i installed a dp guage to see what it would be like with the ihi in the twin setup. all i have to say is that power is linear and the boost and drive psi were really 1:1, and it even drops almost 5 psi below boost in 5th gear going about 100mph. i am using the stock wg and a ppe boost valve on the ihi. i have also ported the intake horn, which i think it helps alot..

Ya, that was what I was planning on. No racing for me, just towing and right foot flogging.

Htt will proably drop your EGTS 200F and give you more power keep it around 36-37 psi and the right fuel you will have a great running truck that shouldnt hurt your gaskets....I loved that turbo and thought it was perfect even towing a 10,000lb trailer

It has a waste gate built in oil cooled only so you can bypass that stupid coolant nipple that takes up all the room:D

Twins are the best bet but you pay for it also....You can always twin later when you get the bug

X2, HTT 66 is a good little turbo. Opt for the Stainless steel housing though! It is worth the extra coin. I love my HTT.

Love my HTT!

Made 588HP. Well, more actually, spun the tires on the rollers.

Drags this trailer around with the "Race" tune too.. :D

I run the 4088 and have no complaints. Low EGT's, tows great and runs like a raped ape. I don't really regret going with the 66 htt; however, did at one time because I considered running twins. The htt would be a much easier smaller charger for that application IMO. I believe htt's are gated correct?

does any one have any info on the 71mm HTT? seems like it would be a pretty bad charger think it has like a .90 AR

i Have always wanted to try one , but have always thought the compressor was a little too close to the size of the turbine, and pretty big for a T-3 also and might be laggy as a result , if i was going to go that big on the compressor i would go GT4202

Another question for you guys. What does the A/R ratio affect? What affect does the turbine wheel size have on spooling and exhaust flow?

Also, I have noticed that people only talk about inducer sizes. What about the exducer? What affects do different sized exducers have?

The exhaust A/R and the turbine wheel is the "motor" that drives the compressor.

If you want your boost at a lower RPM, you need a tighter housing (smaller number), but it will fade on the top end earlier. If you want good high RPM performance, go bigger.

The turbine wheel should be slightly bigger than the compressor wheel for low drive pressure. Hybrids are typically small turbine, big compressor, and normally generate higher EGT's than a more "balanced" turbo.

The bigger the exducer is, the higher boost levels in general at the expense of RPM range.

The HTT is still one of my favorite tow/track (street/strip says the gas guys) turbos. But both the GT4088/4094 are going to be good choices also.

Twins are a good choice too. But they are more $$, and a bit harder on the install.

if you are mostly into daily driving and street performance would you notice a considerable difference between the 1.06 housing and the .90 on my gt4088r? It still feels a bit laggy even after ricks uppipes, tuning etc....
