I am just wondering what company has the best filters for my truck. Oil, fuel, trans. I hear Wix filters are good. What about Baldwin? Currently just using the STP filters I get at autozone.

WIX makes a good filter, but I run STP for the engine oil, ALLISON for the trans, AFE dry re-useable air filter, and RACOR for the fuel. RACOR makes the fuel filters for ACDELCO, so I can get the RACOR branded ones for about half what GM wants. ALLISON spin ons are cheap and are built just for it. And when I ran WIX filters on the engine, I always got the loud typewriter tick at idle. Switched to STP filters and the tick went away, switched back to a WIX and it came back so no more WIX for the engine oil.

I was told Luberfiner makes filters for GM so I've been using them for oil and fuel. Allison for trans.

Unless you don't want to spend $19 for a oil filter, but your right for filtering ability of stock replacments.

Moble1 are suppose to be pretty good. I just use Napa gold, but Baldwin makes a find filter too. As long as your not using Fram your ok.

Thanks for the input. Seems that ther are lot of different views out there for this. Guess I'll do a little more research and see what I can come up with. What about those filter magnets that they make? Worth it? Or is it just a gimmic?

I use without any issues:

Air - S&B (aftermarket intake)
Oil - Mobile 1 [M1303]
Trans - Allison Spin-on [29539579]
Fuel Filter - Wix [33960]

Although I am not running a factory filter anymore. I went to a CAT 2 Micron.
Now I am running the AirDog Filters on my lift pump.

I also use Mobil 1 filters for oil and ONLY use the Allison red filter. Fuel filter I also use the GM one. I have a Cat filter on also with my lift pumps.

Oil filter is a good deal but the Allison spin-on,not so good. You can get them for $12 bucks and cheaper.
