But if you have a bent rod they didn't necessarily work for your goal did they? Just saying:eek:
Yeah but mine is a Lb7. LMM rods are proven to hold 550 hp all day which is enough for me till I double my income. I could pay cash for a built motor right now but it wouldn't be extra money and I'm not gonna put myself in financial danger over a truck!

started the rig up tonight to pull it out of the garage so I could do something to my car. It was 55 degrees in there and it had a horrible knock sound when it started. It let out an enormous cloud of white/blue smoke that filled the building. ran kinda rough for about 3-4 seconds after start up. I'm starting to think and injector is leaking into the cylinder while it sits. any way to confirm this?

Pull the glow plugs and have 2 people watch while you crank

Nothing is guaranteed on LMM/LBZ rods.

Mike is one of the luckiest people who've ever been on this forum. His truck was far, far from the norm.

Imo his tuning played a large part of his motor surviving.

I guess I was one of the lucky also. S366/480 billet chargers & 80% injectors held fine. Then went to 63 billet cheetah exergy 10mm pump and exergy 45% sticks.
