DOH! got me, he mentioned Wisconsin?.... but dat's not Alberta... Alberta is WAY colder!

i before e except after c excepts......

Anyway, back to topic. You will love the oil pump, it's a nice part. Watch the clearances between the cam gear and the front of the unit they are tight. Don't drop the gear it could/would wobble and hit the face of the oil pump. ONLY if is was bent/not flat. There is enough thickness in mat'l to cover ya, but still...the finish is so nice.:)

Status.

I have all the parts required to assemble the motor. Had a fit problem with the rod/piston last Saturday, Guy swapped me out Monday and sent me down the road, fast and efficient as usual. Check the small end width when using aftermarket rods with aftermarket pistons. No big deal, it just stops you cold!

I calc'd a bad number for the fuel tank... 1 gallon of fuel is 231 cubic inches. I had my tank drawn as 36x24x12... that's freakin' 44 gallons:eek:

Plan for the next two weeks is build the motor, install it, pull the cab back off and run the balance of the lines (air/water/IC/oil/fuel). Unless i come up with a better idea i will probably run a short exhaust stack passenger side and finish it black (the interior of my bed is black), maybe 17" tall from bottom of bed to top of stack. My wife follows a diesel truck (w/ stack) home and claims the smoke flows over traffic versus into it.

Found a 12" and 14" slick that rolls out the same for 4 wheel drive, M and H.

Hood turned out really nice... so nice it's almost a shame to install it next to factory GM paint.
