While on vacation n Houston, TX I've tried a few new beers. One wasn't too good, the other two were quote enjoyable.
First was a St. Arnolds. Not sure which one but I couldn't bear it. It was a bit too bitter and oatee. Second was a Texas native, Shiner Bock. It was good and more like regular domestic pale ales. Yummy. Last for now, and most enjoyable is a New Belgium Fat Tire. The friend I'm visiting says they were more in the western US but are now becoming nation wide. It is an amber ale i guess and was what I would call a light beer. It wasn't heavy tasting, or bitter or wheatee nor oatee. It was just smooth and went awesome with my fettuccini Alfredo at the Cheesecake Factory.
Just thought I'd share.
