I agree there. I always use duralast golds. With my commercial discount I only have to pay for them one. They guys will warranty them even if it has expired.

What is the part number? They have a couple versions std. and heavy duty.
Standard I didn't know they had a HD when I got mine. The post went bad on mine. Anyways I'm done with them after this. I though Bosch was a POS but they have been way better for me.

Anyone have any luck with Odyssey batteries? I'm thinking of getting 2 of these for the pull truck.

Had I looked a little further I would have bought Odyessy's from 4wheelparts they have a warehouse about 30 minutes from me....

500$ for two is crazy!

No corrosion/leaks like lead acid batteries, that's about what I paid for mine from batteries-plus, I was on their website and they changed suppliers/manufacturers just recently. There was about a $60.00 dollar difference from the batteries-plus to the Odyssey...

They don't fit which I predicted. I have one rigged in there for now. Its a group 31. Can I run one battery and delete the other? That's what I'm running now and have not had any problems. I just want to make sure. If I can run just one battery I will relocate it to a box on the frame or a box in the bed haven't decided.

Also it is a 1150 cca pure lead battery. Should I upgrade the alternator as well?
What are your guys thoughts?

My plan is to use two group 31 sealed batteries and make a mount on the frame for both. Then run 2 gauge and some extra grounds. Should solve all the crappy leaking battery issues. And clean up under the hood. Makes alot of room when you take out the battery brackets.

Plus those group 31 sealed truck batteries are like 90 bucks at the Mack dealer. I have the 140 alternator but I might switch to the 250 that was mentioned in the other thread at the same time. Now to just find the time.

To update, just ordered and will install after dinner advance auto gold batteries. The previous ones last four years and they are not that pricey. Will miss my 34/78 combo though :(

Installed the Odyssey batteries tonight, WOW, truck turns over like crazy now. The volts hold at about 12.5-12.7 volts now with the hydraulic steering pump on and jump up to about 14 volts when pump is turned off.
