Chris turned me onto this thread.. Mine is torn apart right now, was going to get a batmo 466, but bullseye won't have the parts to build it for up to 5 weeks. I don't feel like waiting that long so I'm torn between a 366 and a 472. Adding an lbz reg and .40 sticks so I am not going to have quite the fuel you do. Interesting take on things seeing as you have had a 366 and now a 475. I'm only shooting for 600 ish horsepower.

Here is a side by side photo of both the S366 is left the BATMO s472 right , its not hard to see which one holds the performance advantage / flows more air , but if your only after 600 I would vote for the S366 , there is a huge price difference , The BATMO runs 1900 ( turbo only ) the S366 runs 1250.00 ( turbo only ) Install kit cost is even a bigger price difference , on a LLY you will need a new custom y-bridge and passenger IC tube , EGR delete , ect , or on the cheap you could run LB7 bridge and IC tube and a standard S400 install kit . The S300 install kit works with the stock parts and is about 800-900 bucks cheaper.

either one will get you what you after easily, the 66 spools wicked fast and my 75 aint much slower. I'd say you will be very happy with either 66 or 72.

Thanks for that Trent, I had been wondering what your input was on the subject. I'm having Caleb build my kit, and the cost is going to be the same whether i go batmo 366 or batmo 472. When I say 600ish, I mean I want to make as much as I can safely without grenading my engine. I need it to hold together for a year or two, then I can think about a full build. My goal going into this was 625.

Now, I was just put driving my dad's lb7. Its stock other than silverline duals, no tune, no boost valve, nothing. I like how that drives. Veeate, you are saying your batmo 475 really doesnt spool much slower than your 366 you had? Thats optimistic for sure haha, there is a part of me that really wants to go with the 472. I don't know.. This is not an easy choice.

You probably have a lot more fuel than me though... I am worried just having the sticks, lift pump, and modded cp3 I wont be able to fuel it enough to spool fast. Mine's just a daily driver, I just want something I can take out on the roads and enjoy the hell out of driving while still maintaining some reliability. The overall bigger construction of the 400's (shaft size especially) really makes me lean towards the 400's.

I think a 475 would be a little much for what I want though. I still need to tow my boat. Never having even rode in a dmax with an aftermarket turbo is making this decision pretty hard because I have nothing to base my choice off of.

Sorry- Kind of derailed your thread, maybe I should get my own hah.

You still want to tow your boat, I tow 5-6 k daily with no issues. I wouldn't want a big single if I towed heavy every week, 8k and up, but for what I use my truck for it works fine. And far as daily driving and playing around, You will love the big hit you get from the S400s, when they light make sure your pointed straight.

The truck has a stock lb7 cp3 and 45% overs.
On edit: I'm not saying you should run a s475 if you tow heavy I was just stating how it spooled.

Maybe I just got a bad deal, and I also live at 6K elevation. But in no way does my 75mm turbo spool like even a 71mm I was running (tried running against my bud with one). He would constantly take me off the line from idle (not spooled) to 55mph. When I hit 2500rpm it was all over for him though (inhaled would be the correct word). Until I added my 5" intake a fat chick on a tricycle could beat me across an intersection unless I was spooled. I'm not going to light folks up off the line unless I'm spooled. Maybe a bad charger?

Yeah I know you didn't sorry to make it sound that way haha. I'm just a little taken back with all this talk of these 400's spooling like a 366.

Got my own thread going tho as to not derail this one any further..
