Why is the tank full of meth then?

Methanol (alcohol)

I want to see someone fill the tank on that car with pump fuel at the pump for that matter.

if you say so. I would still love to see someone pump #2 in that car right of the pump just to make a believer outta me. There's no way I will ever believe that engine runs on #2 untill I see that.

You are absolutely something else... who cares what kind of mixture the Diesel fuel is that is going into the fuel cell? Banks has nothing to prove to you by any means. Who the hell are you>? That is a Duramax engine with a custom Bosh ECM running 2 CP3 pumps. What happened to Duramax guys sticking together? You do realize that lots of the top competing Diesel Dragsters and other trucks run modified fuel... There is a Diesel fuel name SynDiesel is this what Banks is running? i doubt it but it isn't #2 but why would it matter? The Banks Team runs LOTS of nitrous but so do lots of other trucks. The Custom Auto LLY made 7xxhp on Diesel Fuel then made 1xxxhp on nitrous so does that mean it isn't a 1000hp truck? I ask you once again who the hell are you to pass down judgment on the Banks Team?

i would run race diesel if i had a race truck, only for the same reason why people run 100+ octane gas.

you dont bring a knife to a gun fight.

im not saying banks is not using #2 but it not a bad idea not to use it

I stood right next to the Banks crew when they were fueling the Banks Sidewinder S-10 last year at Bakersfield. Sure looked like #2 diesel to me, and it wasn't the red stuff.:D

on the fuel note. it is also important for consistancy. race blend are more expensive not just because they have more power potential but they are made to a much high standard then regular fuel and race. this consistance of the higher grade fuel helps make and enginer easier to tune and marks you run more consistant on the track.

I believe even most 3.0 and up sled pullers run some type of race blend fuel. I belive it consists of #2, biodiesel, pump lube and cetane booster

SynDiesel is the race diesel I know of.

Some stats

20% more BTUs
63 cetane rating vs regular diesel being around 40
5% biodiesel for the race fuel
10 year shelf life
Its clear as water
and some other things I dont remember

55 gallon drum will run you $240 from hyperfuels

check it out at

Your right, i'm a nobody. They don't have anything to prove to me and I was out of line. My bad. Sorry to start this shit. I will move along.
