Well I see your point, BUT if you follow any of my other builds you would know I do not half ass anything.

You should fix that wiring! :roflmao: I've been wondering about this project for a minute. Didn't realize how lucky I was to get a regular cab with steering wheel controls.
At least you soldered the wires! I have been wiring most of my life and I can't count how many people I have seen use crimp connectors!
You should look inside a furnace...you'd both cry at the amount if crimp connections

I have a set of wheel controls here, and a wheel, lots of work to integrate.
At least you soldered the wires! I have been wiring most of my life and I can't count how many people I have seen use crimp connectors!
Oh I know that all too well. I quit professionally installing when shops started using t taps for remote starts and calling it acceptable.
Got the fuel tank dropped and out what a mess this has been.
Broke the module trying to get it out, which is fine because being exposed to the elements the tank and old module were full of trash.
Here is what was causing all my troubles, a broken vent tube.
Called a local junkyard and they said they had one avaible for $100. I ordered and headed that way. WRONG one, so I decided to fix this one.
Used stainless and brass hardware to make my own new vent tube.
Also got the rear Bilstiens installed.
Going to have it back together Monday for sure, as Tuesday it goes for level, alignment and inspection.
Picked up a few other front end parts while they have it. Rare Parts G2 tie rods and all the Moog parts incase the truck needs it.

Didn't leak a drip while filling up
Definitely needs an alignment and the tires balanced.
It's like Christmas. The Rare Parts tie rods are so stout it's almost amazing. Shouldn't have any tie rod issues when plowing this year.

Picked her back up this morning, with a much taller stance. Ended up only needing tie rods, shocks, stabilizer, level and alignment. While it was apart my mechanic called and suggested a set of Timbrens, so I also did a set of them while it was apart.
I am really pleased with how it turned out, drives 10x better.

Putting that off for now. Really wanting Eagle to build the 22" bolt on dually wheels. If and when that happens I will do a set.
Big updates today. Tires and wheels on, had to rob the 1.25" spacer off the '06 for spacing on the rear duals. The stainless trim rings were crap and didn't fit and tore the sh@t out of the fresh powder. Going to find some OEM GM's. Got the new headlights with the HID's installed as well.
