Rained out last week, going to try again tomorrow. Will be there probably around 6:30 or so, in my 1500 D-max. Hope to see some of you there!

might try to come down...ive been wanting to try out this kryptonite kit for a while:D

DOIT!! :D

5300 lbs is what that truck weighs with you in it in race prep?

What size tires are those?

5300 lbs with a half tank of fuel and no driver. That's with the tailgate and spare on it, which I remove for racing. I'm guessing race weight is probably 5400 lbs or so with no tailgate or spare and with me in it.

Tires are 275/55R20

5400 lbs, you've got a chance. Track d/a is pretty high there, isnt it? Have fun!

Looks like the dynamic alititude has been varying between 6800'-8700' since 11:00am yesterday. Hopefully it stays lower for you guys today! Wish I could make it but the camper is still in the truck. I really want to go for a ride in your truck Delong. Good luck tonight guys and get some videos!

I wish I could come down tonight. My transfer case is on the bench right now split in half.

The parts for this are sitting on my desk in Estes...so that's not happening right now.:(

So close to 12's! Not quite though. Got 4 runs in tonight.

First was 13.584 @ 98.93, 1.833 60' on the 80hp tune.

Second was 13.306 @ 99.68, 1.815 60' on the 100hp tune. Limped the trans on the 4-5 shift right as I was crossing the finish line.

Third was 13.396 @ 101.96, 1.965 60' on the 120hp tune. Spun the tires pretty good off the line, 60' wasn't good. I raised the shift point on the 4-5 shift so it wouldn't limp again, crossed the line at 3900 RPM.

Last run I let quite a bit of air out of the tires to try and hook better. I didn't have a pressure gauge but held the valve open for almost 15 seconds. Ran 13.144 @ 102.72 with a 1.807 60'.

I think if I messed around with trying to strap the front end down and maybe lower tire pressure some more I could get pretty damn close to running a 12. I'm done for the season though, hopefully will have a built trans and even bigger tunes by the time next season comes around!

Congrats on the times, I worked late and by the time I left the shop it was 8 and I didn't really have my truck ready to go.

Good times, Chris! Its getting there. :thumb:

I wouldnt strap the front, but rather look at the rest of the suspension and figure out what needs to be upgraded there. Does anyone video your runs so you can see what's happening at launch?

Yeah it's the front left tire that spins the most. On that last launch I could feel it hop up front quite a bit. Dropping the tire pressure helped a little. One other idea I has was to crank the CalTracs up as much as possible, in my head it seems like that would raise the rear end up and prevent some weight transfer on launch, not sure if I'm thinking of that correctly though.

Two nights left! I'm installing a new exhaust housing tonight and with these lower temps I'm hoping I can manage a few boosted launches. If the weather is decent next Wednesday I'm ditching out of work early and going to try for a few runs.
