We are at the Rio, Ralph is watching the Ratlettes.
Took the CTS-V there, first time I got a chance to "play" with it. It was raining in places, and the automatic windshield wipers are uber-trick. They go faster or slower based on both speed and amount of rain. After the rain cleared, found a Turbo Carrera to play with. After a few jousts up to 140mph (it was kinda busy on the 15) it was obvious that he brought a knife to gunfight.
I'm getting more used to the car, and it loves the open road. It doesn't feel any different at 70 than 140, if anything it's more stable at speed. Seems the fuel economy is the nearly same at 90mph as 55mph, 21 vs 23. 90 feels like 65 so I drove most the way at 90.
Hope my luck holds out the rest of the trip. I drop a $20 in a slot waiting for Kat to get the room, and came out with $85. Since I took the casino's money, I will probably retire my lever-pulling arm and see if the Smithsonian wants to put it on display. I'm not much of a gambler.
Tomorrow we go to the Frank Hawley Drag School to get our NHRA comp licenses. After El Mirage, we are going to try and put Casper in the 9's, so we will need the license ahead of time just to be safe. The truck is already certified to 8.50, and I think we can generate the HP for a 9.99. HP has never been the problem though. Other things keep biting us in the arse but we just keep at it.
