Armed Felons on my Ranch

Just finished up another lb7 injector job around 11 tonight and finally got to bed at around 11:45. 12:45 comes around and I have a deputy sheriff knocking on my front door. Note I live 30 miles from the nearest town. Anyways he notifies me that there are two armed felons within 4 miles of the ranch headquarters where we live. Another PD lost them out here after 55 miles of high speeds and chasing. I also learned one deputy car was totaled and he was sent to the hospital. So now I have 3 hours till work, 38 piston in one hand and my AR-15 laying across my lap waiting this out. Called state police but they haven't showed up. Figured I'd let yal know how my night or early morning was going here in eastern NM.

Made it through the night without sleep. My dad and I breached our other ranch houses this morning and luckily didn't run into them. Gonna feed the feed lot while the state police get here. Then I'll guide them through the ranch to find the car. A crystler 300 can't go to far out here in the pastures. Wildest night I've had in awhile.

Thanks James! Well found the car about 3 1/2 miles from the headquarters stuck out in the pasture. We have 5 state police units and 6 county units out looking for them on foot. 3 more hours and chopper will come out. We got into our gun safe here at my fathers house so we're packing at all times during work. Pretty sketchy but we everyone is safe here at the ranch. Never been in a situation like this and it makes you think twice about living way out here because anything can happen at anytime. I know a lot of ranchers who don't even lock they're doors at night... Crazy but hopefully they find these criminals and lock them up.

Ok so far we found t shirts approximately 200 yds from the car. Thats all the leads we have. State police are having trouble getting a chopper but dogs are the next idea. Also come to find out it's a male and female. The male is 6'2" and 225lbs and has a 9mm Handgun and said he's the type that'll do anything to get away. I'll keep yal updated but at least we can see now.

Well no luck whatsoever. State police tried to get the airbase to fly over the land with infered but they couldn't give the state police clearance. Just had a meeting with state police, and Sheriffs from two other counties and they will be patrolling all night out here. It's 98* out so they'll be desperate to find a vehicle or food or water after today. Also learned the male is wanted for armed buglery and trafficking meth. Car was full of meth pipes and car was stolen also. State police brought a dog out but he had a heat stroke after 30 min. Law gave us the go to shoot to kill if we have a run in with the male. They said he is armed with a 9mm and won't be afraid to use it. Looks like another sleepless night. So if any of yal are keeping up with this always have a weapon of some sort by your side at night, make sure your doors on your houses are in good condition and even install a alarm system. We each and everyone of us have a right to bare arms and with that to protect our family's. Don't take chances because I would of never guess I or my family out in the middle of no where would be in this situation. We will all be taking a concealed weapon class here shortly for a reason. Be safe out there everyone.

Sorry to hear of this situation Blake. I'm up in northern Minnesota right now and crime is the furthest thing from worry up here. Must be nice for these Yankees. Stay safe and hope you bag this jerk.
