640 acres is 1 square mile. 85 sections is 85 square miles, or am I wrong?
Your correct Mike.

Sorry to hear of this situation Blake. I'm up in northern Minnesota right now and crime is the furthest thing from worry up here. Must be nice for these Yankees. Stay safe and hope you bag this jerk.

Thanks Damian, Minnesota sounds nice right about now. But don't let your gaurd down. Most of the time it's just people passing through.

Hopefully you or someone puts an end to them soon. 56k acres is a lot of hiding spots. Lock up and sleep with one eye opened. Security systems are nice but I prefer instant gratification. If the skin crawling growl and widow shaking bark from this 170lb loyal man doesn't scare intruders off, racking one up in the 12ga next to my bed is sure to.

I got my c.c. permit on my 21st bday. Rarely leave home without my little Ruger.

Yes sir lots of hiding spots but those tweakers won't last another day in this heat. On average a human can walk 3.5 MPH maybe faster If all high. Been on the loose since 12:50am so in 17hrs they could walk anywhere from 40-60miles which in that time they could of walked to get service and got picked up on a county road. But won't stop watching out untill we know they're out of the country.

Perfect example why I keep a weapon very handy. I don't live on anywhere near that much land but there are still crackheads in my area. My ole lady can handle a gun and shoot better than most men I know.

Stay safe and keep us posted.

If I was closer I'd come hang out. Got some pieces that haven't been fired yet!

With that heat, hardly any water sources and straight sun most of the day with not much shade. If be surprised if they make it through tomorrow. There are people out here that die within a day due to the summer heat and walking out in the desert with no water.

Keep at it Blake. These vary reasons are why my 12ga shot gun sits next to the bed room door, a 357 is on my night stand in arms reach and I conceal carry a 9mm damn near all the time.

Crazy shit. Stay safe man. Wish I could come lend a hand. It sucks feeling unsafe on your own land. Good news is they won't last long in that heat.

Will do bro. More then likey they got picked up off a county road south. Nearest town would be Floyd which is 35 miles. Or thy stole a ranch truck from the ranch south of us as the rancher is never home so wouldn't even know.

LOLz I'll keep that in mind Brian

Anyways last night no movement so by now they're either out of the country or suffering out there. Dogs were calm all night. Units patrolled most of the night and saw no signs. Maybe they'll find him in town or something soon. That'll deff help us sleep at night.
