Are LBZ rods "proven" to hold up in mild engine builds?

Oh ok. Iirc he ran 10's with it right? If so, do you think that a rebuilt short block with crowers could last at 700hp for a respectable amount of time?

Matt made a post with a few 1/4 pass think there were more 1/8 mile and abuse on the street.

Trent also installed Howard rods only and I'm not sure how many runs he got out of it.

But if your already spending the money take the time and do it right. These guys were already building other motors and just needed to get there runs in for points.

You sure you don't want stock rods to go back in?? LOL! Heck, you literally BROKE 800hp!! Shit looked good though!

I don't know why anyone would slump on the rod or piston setup, do it right and you won't have any regrets later.

Whats the price difference between Howards, Crowers and Carillos? Is one better than the other?

can a guy just throw a set of LBZ rods in an LB7 with nothing else done? Meaning, pulle heads, pull oil pan, unbolt rods, pull pistons, install lb7 pistons on lbz rods and bolt them right back onto the crank?

Would the balance be way too outta whack or is it reasonably possible it would be alright?

I just made a thread on pretty much that same question (well with cut pistons), I didn't see you asked that or I probably woudn't have made mine. I hope so cause than I would think I wouldn't have as high of a machining cost

From what I hear a balance is not that expensive. Considering lb7pistons are lighter I'd get everything balanced just for peace of mind
