While your up here, you could visit Howes Cavern's, Herkimer diamond mine, Fort Rome, Old Forge (water safari & tons of camping spots), Thousand islands
Last nights camp spot first. Drove some beautiful scenery on the way here. Stopped in New Hampshire at the liquor warehouses and got a bottle of bourbon.
“Finally” to our destination. Portland Maine. Such a beautiful place. So different than any other beach setting I’ve been in. We met her folks for dinner, walked on the beach with the dogs and set up camp this evening. More excitement tomorrow!
Dogs are wiped, to the point when you’re stop the truck they just give you the puppy dog eyes and try to stay in bed haha.

Local adventure day yesterday. Went to the oldest light house commissioned by the government, built 1791. Sat and watched waves roll Off the rocks for a little while but could have sat there all day.
Met her mom for lunch, and they took off together doe the afternoon while I went grocery shopping and restocked. Ended up having dinner at their place with some great steaks and chicken.
Afterwards we ventured over to a couple breweries and I had a couple drinks, collected stickers, and got some Togo drinks for today.

Beach day yesterday, no pics just enjoyed the day and got sunburnt. We were supposed to leave this morning but decided late last night to stay another day. Getting around this morning I noticed fluid on the rear shock mount and decided to look into it.
turns out I had a rubber line let loose on the way in last night. Limped it to a Napa, 6 quarts, trans line and an hour later I was on the road.

Friday am we left for home. Tried hitting a couple camp sites on the way but it being Friday night they were taken so we just ended up driving more or less straight through to home. From the time we left up there to the time we were home including stops for lunch/ beers, getting a slice of pie in Rolla, and seeing my folks for about an hour, was 36 hours. About 1600 miles in a little over a day in a half.
total mileage was just shy of 4,000 miles, 7 nights in the tent, 260 gallons of fuel, one trans line, 6 quarts of trans fluid. A lot of smiles, great food, beautiful places, and good people.
I’m not looking forward to going back to work tomorrow, to the extent I started looking for new jobs on the way home. So we’ll see where the road takes us next!

my in laws just did 19 hours from Colorado Springs to where we had lunch. They tried several places to stop for the night but had no luck. They just pushed on through.

Leaning toward something in the real estate game. Something that I can work from home with, and be rewarded for hard work.
Stick with using your hands buddy, work is always steady, annoying but steady. People will always need expirenced hands, just find the right place and you will be rewarded. The jobs that don't require hard work are always greener from the other pasture, they have the constant threat of replacement by someone willing to work for less or a cell phone app. Expirenced hard working hands are almost nonexsistent now, it's getting to the point that I can charge about what I want bc no one else can or will do it. Don't jump off the train before it comes into our stop...
