Looking for any input on this setup if anyone has it or close? Cast or billet, stroker or dual pumps and 100 overs.
I'd stick with the 71mm vvt if you are planning on an s484. Personally I'd go with a Danville vvt.
I realize the vgt will be restrictive, but have also read on here ppl with 3794/s483 60 overs I think, dual pumps do 950 so the should do no less and drive awesome.
I agree with above statement, if going twins, both fixed geometry... S366/s480... I wouldn't waist the money they charge to put any larger compressor in an s400 frame, the 96/88 turbine doesn't have the flow and spools slower than a Garrett gt55, get an 88mm gt55 or 85mm gt50 in journal bearing. My s366/s480 setup spooled much faster and pulled harder than my cousin's Bullseye s468...not to mention towed 10 times better.
Well absolutely. I saw you were into drag racing and assumed it was a race only application. If you are driving it on the street I am sure it will be great.
I misunderstood your intention.
I had a vgt compoud setup s482/71mm with 45% overs. It had some high drive pressure and I eventually broke a crank, but it drove great on the street and made close to 4 digits on the dyno.
I was big single for a while and now I am back to compounds and a vgt, but I made some modifications to reduce drive pressure. I am still testing them to see how well it works out.
You are correct the 96mm tw does not have the power to drive the larger compressor wheels I agree.
I notice you love that garrett
