Any Bowhunters here??

I used to go to AK every year near the end of August for Silver Salmon. There as a place outside Dillingham my Dad, brother and I went to, but they shut it down a few years back and we haven't made the time to figure out another trip. Silvers on fly or lightweight spinning tackle are a real handful! Plus, being able to fish in daylight until 1am is just badass.

I am going to land in Anchorage and then drive 150 miles to Kenai. I did some research today and it looks like its going to be alot of fun.

Well, so far, my only purchase has been the book "Idiot Proof Archery." I figured before I dove in, I should educate myself a little better. I went to a nearby shop and fondled some equipment, but nothing really jumped out at me as "the one" so I'm still just doing homework. Once I finally pick something, I'm sure you'll all know, since I'll have about a billion questions!

I have a mathews, i have owned reflex, pse bows before like them all. Nothing like a mathews though, the best shooting bow i have ever shot and I have shot a lot of different brands. In CA hogs are probably the best bet to get your tag filled, deer are very very scarce and land is a biatch to find. And of course dealing with the over crowding of hunters around the area. I have been looking to do a bow hunt in the san benito or kern valley area, i hear they are pretty well stocked with hogs.
