I am interested of aluminium rods and like to get some information of them and where to get them.
Alu rods may be good choise for my race engine, it will see at most 20 passes in year, and will have very short rebuild/check periods.
I have had problems with Crover bushing/Mahle pins and have to get new pins and bushings last winter, engine had under 20 passes in strip and maybe 3000 miles in street that time. Also had main cap walking and bearings were damaged. I havent open rebuilt engine yet so cant say how it is after last summer, but will tell results when it is done.

The one's that I found Mika are built by www.fowlerengines.com If you call talk to Jeff as he is the owner and very nice and helpful. They price quoted me 1080 US dollars. These are billet aluminum and not forged.
Yes, I guess they have made two sets for someone in Texas. I guess a engine builder in Texas gave them the specs. If you are serious about folwers Mika I would be more than happy to take them my Lb7 stock rods to them so they can make some for you. I work about 3 miles from there shop. I have a longblock with like new rods. If I still had stock Lb7 pistons I could take the whole block,crank,rods,pistons and let them do the machine work to make them fit/work. But I sold the pistons.
