The NP218 and the NP242 used in the HMMWV H1 use an open differential, I am in the process of getting started with a Duramax/HMMWV conversion and would be interested if anyone knows how to interface the Allison 1000 to ether of these cases, the HMMWV drive train is considered too week to handle a Duramax/2WD combination
