I would like to hear more about HTT failures , as I plan to buy one soon .. the whole "My Garrett BB is better than yours " BS gets old fast . not everyone can afford $3 k plus for a turbo , never mind $3k each on a twin setup

agreed the price is high for a garrett. but lets see here how many times do you want to pull a turbo out and rebuild it. i have no interest in doing that i would rather save money for a few more weeks and buy a turbo i dont have to rebuild every year. get what you pay for i guess:2cents:

My silverbullet needed a $500 refresh after 3 years of racing and daily driving/towing. probably put on 100,000+kms. htt is a similar turbo so i would expect similar reliability. silverbullet seems to be behaving fine now, and has 80-90 lbs. boost being shoved through it regularly.

I will still buy a HTT/Borg/Bullseye when it's time

It just seems like they are a little fragile or maybe not everyone can afford the BB so that's why you see more out there needing rebuilt.

It seems like i'v read about a 360* thrust bushing/washer instead of a 180* dose that sound wright?

The two biggest complaints are both Dan. Even the journal bearing Garrett's are substantially higher than the Borg counterpart.
