I went to see the local alamo dealer ( they are franchise) and they sell and service all turbo's.
The mechanic and salesman told me to stick with turbonetics for equal performance to garret, at much lower price, and better warrantee!

with that said, he only recommended Garret, and turbonetics for my zx14, and the duramax.

just my 2 cents,
take or leave it.

I would speak to a company like alamo though, who deals with all of the manufactures.

I paid $625 for a new complete center section for my 4094r,but i had to send my messed up center section back to them for a reuseable core. If not it would have been $1200 new. I had that plastic hood insulation grooment go thru and trash my compressor wheel.

The two biggest complaints are both Dan. Even the journal bearing Garrett's are substantially higher than the Borg counterpart.

X2. I personally think Garrett is the Banks of chargers. Paying more just for the name IMO.

you are high, the bigger Garretts 47+ flow more when compared to a similar sized BW fact:D Obviously if you compare an S474 to a GT4202 it is a no brainer which is a better bang for the buck
