Alright I have a built motor with a custom 2.6 charger for truck pulling and am still runing a stock intercooler. I understand the benifits like more air and lower boost pressure but what else can I exspect? I know I should be going air to water but it is still a street driven truck and will stay that way unless you want to supply me with a tow rig and trailer.

When I put mine in, I was on 500hp stock turbo/injector tuning. EGT's dropped some overall. Seemed liked they climbed slower too. Other then that, not much difference.

It should help just a little, not worth it for a street truck but when you are running a class might be worth it....
If weight isn't an issue I still think you could run air to water, just run a radiator somewhere. Can also have it run into a cooling tank but only run ice when you are pulling

My LB7 came with a banks intercooler installed :woott: Seen 65psi a few times, but I honestly dont even know if it helps unless im pulling a big load, which my truck doesnt anymore.

I was thinking of some how fabbing up an ice box around the intercooler pipe for when I pull. That way I am getting the benifit of cold air but not having to deal with no being able to street drive it.

Otherwise try to put ice somewhere around the intercooler.

We have a used Banks on our 2.6 truck for now, switching to a2w this winter. Came from a 2.6 truck as well. Banks have cast end tanks, no welds weld to blow!

Oh yea I beat my banks all the time, 75 PSI all the time
And maybe look at adding in a small atw with the banks? if you really want the added cooling you could do that and just not turn it on unless you were pulling
