Russ Cocker (Cocker 6236) is broke down just outside of Silverton Colorado and members out that way can lend a hand? He is between Durango and Silverton possible stuck t stats or water pump,the truck is over heating.Any help is appreciated.

I tried calling Garett but couldn't reach him by phone. Murdered out lives over there ill see if I can track down his number.
Ok just spoke with anoter member Wes Smith and he said he smoked 2 water pumps after his twins same symtoms blowing coolant out the over flow and it had a grinding noise at idle.Russ's water pump has 165,000 on it and never been changed, pretty sure the twins were the death of it i bet.
I hope its something as simple as a water pump, and wish i was closer to lend a hand.

Yeah i hope so also,he is staying in Ouray colorado i guess and gonna try and get a pump from a couple towns away.
Montrose is only like 30 miles away and they will have several parts stores there if he can limp it up there.

I just got off the phone with Russell. He made it to where he is staying for the night. After talking to him, I think the water pump and head gaskets are both ok. I think he needs a new cap for his coolant tank though. It isn't holding pressure, and I think it is letting the coolant boil when it gets a little hotter going up grades.
Maybe a Moroso cap. The one I've got is from a stock tank. Oh well he can't be far from a parts store anyhow
