and im apparently insisitive blankety blank bastard for saying/agreeing with these statements

stupidity nature natural selection
darwin nomminiees
no sympothy for stupidity
agree with these
It's hard to feel sympathy for someone that could've prevented there own death by using common sense. It's the families that have to endure the pain of death by said lack of common sense user that most will feel for.

Pretty much have to agree as well... Disturbing that the crowd would actually turn on the driver afterwards.. It's not his fault. They "the spectators" put themselves in harms way.

"Crowd turned on him and police had to provide protection for driver"...WTF??

That's like saying..I'm going to go stand in the middle of the freeway and if I get hit, I hope everyone is raged and driver is charged and a angry mob takes him out..

this is very sad for these people but man, common sense can get you pretty far through life. These races are stretched out so far there really is no way to control a crowd. There are specific spectator areas that are patrolled and have safety but in the remote areas where this occurred the spectators that want to avoid being "controlled" are setting the selves up for disaster if they dont pack there bag full of common sense that day.

Just heard about it here, over the next couple of days odds are that I'll get some on the scene accounts, lots of friends into off road and one of the guys I work with was out that way this weekend, we'll see what comes in.

heres is some quotes
reply to john wayne quote and that im not the ones being embalmed right now..

genius ****ing response from the guy who wants to over look the greater picture that there are 8 people who died needlessly, and try to go on about how and why it was their fault....I guess its true what they say...you cant fix stupid....that, and that stupidity is self correcting...youll get yours one day homie, and I hope you dont look to anyone for sympathy.

Hey adam I think you need a ****ing slap in the face. Kick the **** back. It wasn't there fault, your a dumb ****. There not stupid you are for sitting here & running your mouth, & talking **** to MY ****ing friend who just lost a family member & to everyone else who knew them, including ME..obviously you have no kind of heart you fag. Get a ****ing life fool...SERIOUSLY!!!!!!!

This Adam guy is a ****ing idiot. People make make mistakes and accidents happen..You shouldn't be focusing on who to blame or how stupid people can be at times.. And i don't see anything funny about 8 people being dead ..so GO **** YOURSELF YOU INSENSITVE BASTARD. MY FRIEND'S BOYFRIEND IS DEAD!!!!
in reply to me stateing they got killed doing something stupid and general lack of common sense

dont say these people are stupid or they lack common sense **** u u ****ing asshole my cousin got killed nd u no what it was were he loved to be right up in the middle of what he love all the people killed were there for what they loved yea... they may have been to close but who ****ing cares dont be an ass about it cuz u have no sense of emotion!!! just stop now before u dig urself to ****ing deep i cant believe people like u or the things u are saying right now if the rest of my family saw this they would be so devistated at the things u said i hope u know that my family nd every other family is a complete mess right now nd u should feel like complete **** for daring to say something so rude nd hurtful
!

this quote one can easily put the blame on everyone one in that crowd and apparently its the drivers fault in this quote..... last time i check everyone dies

Its not about being stupid Adam. People go to races all the time, this isnt the first race that people have stood this close. The driver ****ed up, his truck flipped, and people were killed. It was a freak accident. Nobody DESERVES to die, ...and if it were your family, OUR hearts would go out to the victim AND the family. Regardless of how dumb it was. They were young, and had huge families and a huge network of friends. Lifes different forever for their families, and Id just appreciate it if you had a little decency and didnt sound like such a complete ass. XXXXX cousin died last night, her family is forever changed because of that horrible accident and you need to show a little compassion, be RESPECTFUL or keep your mouth shut.

funny how people think is you hold you hand in a flame and get burnt its not your fault........................ let me know how that works for you... :thumb:

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

As a firefighter we preplan constantly so that accidents do not occur, or cause further damage than is possible. It RIDICULOUS the countless amount of situations that can be avoided by following the rules.

Sorry for their loss, but my support goes to the the guy that was driving the truck. He has every right to live a normal life without consequence of that on his conscience.

The driver has no fault here, when spectators intentionly stand at the most dangerous part of the track thats what you get. They do the same thing in Europe with rally cars on snow, its surprising it happens so rarely.Stupid is as stupid does.

Exactly! Unfortunately, common sense isn't too common these days :(

i asked this of some people that thinkoposite of us
how many times will this happen before people put their heads on straight by giving the racers room?

how stubborn are the spectartors goin to get before they wise up?

how many more people will have to die before they get a clue?

so i can expect to see that no-one has learned from the stupid mistakes of others?

i can totally feel for the driver. it sucks how these dumb ass stand out there expecting these trucks that are doin 60+ mph over rough ass roads to navigate through a 15ft wide path the spectators have made. it doesnt mix. What sucks is the race was put on by MORE and they dont exactly have the best rules or enforce them the best. Now that this had happen you can bet that BITD, SCORE, SNORE, and all the other little off road sanction races will have much higher entry fees, and less land to race on. The 15mph speed around spectators is new but BITD and whiplash have had a 25mph speed limit around pits or areas where the BLM says there are parts of land that can not be drivin at race speeds on.

Gunna sucks for guys like me that have been building a truck for the last two years and am not sure if ill be able to race it now. This is gunna be a hard hit for the off road community and one thats gunna take alot to get over.

BTW, to any of those that go to the dunes (glamis, gordons well, butter cup) you can bet your ass the sand drags that took place in the evening are done with that 15mph spectator rule
