Sometime tomorrow i start pulling the 6.5. Got the harness laid out only thing im wonder ing if the 06 truck and van throttle pedal on the connector are different
oopps hit enter to soon..
might try and get the engine to mover forward about .5-1" and see if it will fit better in the craddle.... i can really go up due to hood clearance.. downside of being setup for a van.. took the EGR off. need to work something out to use the CAC pipes (lb7) and be able to run the air box on the PS side.. need to pull old harness out. need new style NSBU switch. as well got the TCM bail connector new one have to swap pins. and cut out the rad support
didnt get much done on the truck... spent almost all day at the dealer getting pin outs for the dash harness, fuse box harnes, APP, TCM,
the one thing i havent been able to find is the VSS signal line.. only thing i can think is it is transfered in the DLC lines between the TC> PCM> I/P.
i havent found the RPM singal wire either.. im wondering if it works the the same way....
almost but not quite close enough to use stock fan shroud........ .5" to tall any lower and it cuts into the DS body mount..
the quick connects on the tranny cooler are M22x1.5 steel.. will be cutting them flat and welding a -6 steel JIC fiitting on for the 99's tranny lines
picked up a tranny cooler with fan and a 180* inline temp switch the will be mounted on the intake side of the secondary cooler. hopefully it willl raely come on..
fitment issues...not much a 4" angle grinder with 6" wheel couldnt take care of... got to weld some braces back in.... got to remake the cold side CAC tube. tranny lines are going braided hose as well.. dont really feel comfortable with putting more bends/kinks in the pre-bent steel lines.. plus make it easier for routing away from exhaust. exhasut is connected as well.. van runs 3" got ahold of stock 3.5" truck adn adapted it to the 4" already there.
im sure someone will give me shit about useing exhaust tubing.. cant find anything outside heat retention and weight that the downside vs aluminum.. on a system the rarely sees 300*..
