I went for a ride in an LBZ stroker and the only thing I noticed was it sounded more like a diesel. That's all I could come up with, but thats a pro for me.:D
It was a twin truck, 366/480 and it was mild mannered until your right foot told it otherwise.
Thats the other thing, this truck now sounds like a diesel-not a quiet mild mannered truck. Jewell noticed it more then I did, in fact he was suprised with how loud it sounds. We left out the plastic fender shields so you can hear it better and see it better also;)

The other possible con is finding a machinist who knows what we are doing. The line boreing is very critical when using billet main caps to get the clearences right and the over boring it is very critical for the machinist to understand that the top 2" of the cylinder are hardned and chew up the boring bits:eek: My machinist cussed me a few times and I am sure I bought some new bits for his machine.

What Id like to see is a price breakdown of all these individual parts. I think if someone were to compare what buying all these parts individually costs compared to "in the kit", theyd see it is probably a better deal like this.

How come nobody has jumped on this yet or did I miss it? I have no clue what it cost to build a DMax. I can only refer to Merchant say you could build a short block for 9k? and Tony selling some for 13k? not positive of my #'s but I'd say it may be close.

No ones an idiot when it comes to mods-just alot of unskilled learners like me:D
The block is standard, isuzu/or whoever just hardned the top section of the cylinder wall for some reason-go look at the pics in the garage section of the one for sale-the little black dots go down about 1" to an 1" and 1/2 and my machinist said it was from some kind of hardening process that kept breakin his bits. As far as the main caps I put in the billet ones to add strength to the bottome end-they were about $600.00 versus a girdle prototype that hadn't been tested for $1800.00. You have to line bore them because they are virgin caps.
