Well said Rob , I was hoping you would chime in , I keep wondering why the dodge guys keep breaking shafts but you guys have had great luck with the hard parts , are you guys running Opie's shafts in it ? Maybe some day you guys can test the max amount of passes a converter can go , I would be curious the find out for myself as would alot of others , if that issue could be solved it would be a big advantage towards the Duraflite IMOP .
I'll call you tomorrow, Rob.
I wonder if the PCS controller that comes with the Duraflite has anything to do with the hard parts holding up better than they do in a Dodge.
Mike L, What makes the Torqueshit so tough anyways?
This may be a stupid question but could you still daily drive a dmax with a duraflite in it and not hate life?
absolutley not...
If its not 25 , then how many passes /miles is a converter good for ? or how many do you guys have on Bucks ?
not sure on an exact number, but the tq con have held up great.there have been some prototype stuff that was tried that took a while to get dialed in. as far as miles the truck doesnt get driven daily, but he does drive it to town on parts and beer runs and drives it to the local track when he goes.in an effort to save argument il say rebuild the duraflite and refrsh the tq con after 25 9sec passes. as for the ally we are still waiting for the 9 sec pass,i know many are hopeful Ron @ Suncoast being one as well. goodluck on getting in the 9s.
i was under the impression from Dennis Perry that Orange Crush's Allison which was built in house at TS ran 9's
It did , but it never did it in a reliable manner , IMOP if an ally can do repeatable 9 sec runs it will count but a 1 hit wonder doesn't ( not referring to orange crush ) , but no full size original equipped duramax truck has done it . Ornge Crush and Dirty Max are the only 2.
sorry for going off topic but Trent i love the new avatar:thumb:
