Picked her up from the body shop today...... still needs a few finishing touches but this is the look we were going for.

Some old school / patina graphics in a contrast color would look great with that finish.

Progress pics. Motor and trans mount done. Fuel done, radiator installed with ic attached. Trans cooler and lines done. Battery and bed mounted. Windshield in, still waiting on rear window install. Ecm tcm mounted and wired with a donor kodiac harness.

Everything is super tight but fits very well. Can’t wait to be rolling down the street. Hopefully in a couple weeks.

I see someone else is stubbornly keeping the oil pan intact on a 2wd truck swap. ;) :roflmao: Isnt that pointless front sump design a complete PITA?
Im not sold on the patina, but I love the truck. Really nice, Rick. :thumb:

It’s is definitely pointless but in this frame it doesn’t make a difference. As the motor cannot get any lower without being exposed below the crossmember. And when it’s laid out the crossmember is on the ground.

We could have removed both pans and modified them like the others but over all hieght is really good, so less work is better.

TX of course
What do you have planed for the wood bed? I've been researching charring oak for a project and have seen some sweet results. Google char wood and blue stain. I think that would look killer in that truck.

My last progress pic has a plank of the flooring laying in the bed, I’m planning on using it. It’s laminate wood flooring. It’s the weatherproof type, hoping it holds up. Wasn’t that expensive so if it doesn’t work out I won’t be out that much time and money. It looks really good.

I just looked up charred wood, hone depot has one in deep navy blue. It looks really good. I think I’m returning what I got and ordering the charred!!
