It’s a factory 59 frame. Ic is an eBay special. We haven’t made the thermostat housing yet but yes it will be facing forward like the Chevelle. I may end up purchasing an HSP as theirs is already made. We’ll see, since we missed hot August nights the build slowed way down. I’ll try and get it going by the end of this month. We’ll see.

Yes the fan is a pusher and is mounted to the condenser in front of the radiator.

Got a few more items this month installed. Condenser, fan, booster/master, pedals, T stat housing with hose and some more work on the fuel system. Hopefully be driving sooner then later.

hi rfletes 79 i am also building a 55 chevy truck and was thinking on puting all the computers in the cab behind the seat in an enclosed area. Was wondering if they will get hot in there ?? How much heat do they put out ?? When it was in the truck one of them gets air from the rad shroud so imagine thats to cool it off. Where are you putting your and where are they on your Chevel ??? Thanks Denis

If you look further back in this thread you could see where I mounted them on the back Wall behind the seat. I’ve never noticed them making any heat whatsoever. As far as the Chevelle goes the ECM is currently mounted on the firewall behind the driver side inner fender. I have never had an issue with it.

Latest progress. Been busy with work and the chevelle so haven’t touched her since October.

All the fluids are in and it runs with a hot wire and push button. Also got the steering situated, column, steering rods, u joints and support. Brakes all hooked up and bled. Fitting the seat in now, pretty sure I found one that fits well. Just need to make brackets and get some belts for it.
